On Wednesday March 3rd, the Department was dispatched to Burlington Township for a reported apartment fire. Upon arrival, units had smoke & fire showing from the rear of the building. Rescue-Engine 9061 (Lt. Wirth) arrived first due and went into service with their 300' 1 3/4" attack line to extinguish the fire as well as searching the apartment for any possible victims. Tower 9035 (Capt. Brelsford) arrived as the second due ladder and set up in the rear of the building, placing ground ladders to windows as well as assisting with overhaul in the fire building. Engine 9051 (Lt. Filippine) arrived and was detailed to stand by in case their crew was needed to assist. The fire was placed under control in 11 minutes from the arrival of Rescue-Engine 9061 and there were no reported injuries. The fire is being investigated by the Burlington Township Fire Marshal.
